Uxbridge Xmas Party

What a truly wonderful Christmas celebration we had at Kindy! With the sun shining brightly, the children had an amazing time enjoying delicious food, chasing bubbles, and bouncing with excitement on the bouncy castle. A very special highlight was the beautiful face painting by Fairy Taffy, which brought lots of smiles and sparkle to the day. Of course, the excitement peaked when the children met the big man himself, Santa, receiving a special present and having their photo taken with him. It was a joyful day full of laughter, fun, and festive cheer... a perfect way to celebrate the holiday season together. 🎄✨

Elf antics!

Our Elf arrived on the 1st December bringing us iceblocks! Yum, what a treat!!  He has been hiding each day of December for us to find, he has been in some funny places!  We have been excited to go on a hunt every day to find him and each day he leaves a rhyme or note for us in the advent calendar with something for us to do, sometimes a little xmas treat.

He sent us a new xmas book, ingredients for making reindeer food, cards to make for our loved ones, a super fun unicorn sprinkler, a baking tin and recipe to make a gingerbread man, paper and stamps to post letters to Santa, a wiggly worm elf, sprinkle biscuits and a salt dough recipe to make Christmas decorations.

That cheeky elf makes his magic overnight, even dressing up Melvin our Monkey.

December has brought so much Christmas cheer and fun at Uxbridge.

Our quails lay their first egg!

We were super eggcited to discover our first egg!  Was it Iggy or Aubree?  It was sooo teeny and very different to our chicken egg, so small and speckled.  What to do with it??  Quail eggs you can eat just like chicken eggs - will it look like a chicken egg?  Will it be similiar, what will it look like inside and taste like? We were about to find out....  We discovered it looked exactly like a chicken egg, just way smaller.  We cooked it up and with no-one keen to try Deanne gave it a tasting "It tastes good" she said, just like a chicken egg.  How cool is that!

Putting up the xmas tree!

Christmas is in the air and we are all very excited! We have been decorating the centre, the christmas songs are playing, we are full of festive spirit and anticipating the return of Elfie!   It was time to put up and decorate the tree and make our own special decorations, Countdown to xmas is on!!
