Happy Chinese New Year
This week we have been celebrating Chinese New Year here at Uxbridge. The children have enjoyed learning the stories and traditions associated with this festive time. We have been making fans and lanterns and learning about the traditional colours of red and gold. We also made our own Hongbao or laisee (money parcel). We decorated a cherry blossom tree and enjoyed some fire work pictures. This year is the year of the Pig. We have been looking at what animal represents the year we are born. It has been great celebrating this special time.
