It is a good time to plant Garlic on the shortest day of the year and harvest on the longest day of the year. Matariki is traditionally a time for plating and harvesting. This year with our vegetable garden already full we noticed some space in our herb garden and thought we would try have a go at growing garlic which is a first for us here at Uxbridge. It will be time to harvest just before Christmas so we look forward to seeing how it goes.
