Our celebrations came together today with a special Diwali day filled with colour, music, dancing, creativity and delicious Indian food! Our tamariki were busy creating and decorating their own beautiful diyas, exploring colourful rangoli patterns and designs, and enjoying the opportunity to have intricate henna patterns painted on their hands. The children also enjoyed being part of the food preparations, helping to make a yummy potato and coconut curry to share with roti for lunch.
With colourful decorations, beautiful creations, our Kindy was filled with the sights, sounds and spirit of Diwali!
What a wonderful opportunity for our tamariki to experience and appreciate different cultures, explore new traditions, express their creativity and celebrate the diversity of our Kindy whΔnau.
