Rocket bubbles!!

With the warmer weather coming, an interest in bubbles has emerged.  We have spent these beautiful late winter days blowing, chasing, popping and talking about bubbles.  As a way to extend and further explore this interest, we have been experimenting with a bubble rocket.  This brings a whole new element to children's understanding of bubbles, how they are formed and other ways to make them.  The children use their body weight to push the air through the tube, which then pushes the rocket up into the air, which forces the bubbles out through the bubble rings at the bottom.  Science in the sun!
