Exploring the Bush

With such a beautiful bush right next door filled with native trees and plants we decided we should explore this area on a more regular basis with the tamariki.  First we stopped off at the Marae to see the fish before heading down the path into the bush.We discussed the names of the trees and ferns and also discussed the different sounds and smells around us. We were lucky to hear some different bird sounds on our ways. Some of the tamariki were looking out for Gorilla’s and Tigers too! It was great to explore a new area and enjoy each others company in such beautiful surroundings. We look forward to more bush encounters over the coming months.
