Pond life - Ephemeral art!

A home for our froggy friends!  There has been lots of interest in frogs since Tyler brought in the tadpoles and we have begun to explore and discover all about the frog lifecycle.  Today we set up a provocation with the concept of using different resources at the playdough table to create a scene – The most idyllic home for a frog.....

We had some wonderful thoughtful creations and idea's flowing as the children went about their work,  adding the different resources and their own creative flair.   We had lots of discussion about pond life and the tamariki thought "having friends" was most important for a frog,  how gorgeous is that!

"My frog's jump into the pond" says Chloe P

"Hey, he jumped all the way onto her Lily pad".  Blake said, then he starts to sing "one jumped into the pool where it was nice and cool"

Blake's frog palace

"I've got a lot of things in my tank, so many frogs" said Santi
