At Uxbridge, we have introduced the Colour Monster Book, which is a series of stories that children can relate to around feelings. In the story yellow is happiness, blue is sadness, red is anger, black is fear, green is calm and by the end of the story the monster is pink, he feels loved. This story supports emotional development through expressing emotions and feelings and helps children understand what it is they are feel and possibly why.
The children have enjoyed creating their own monsters, and writing sharing some of their emotions.
