Matariki is all about watching the stars and learning about them. There are nine stars in the Matariki cluster. The nine stars of the Matariki cluster are named Waipuna-ā-rangi, Hiwa-i-te-rangi, Waitā, Pōhutukawa, Waitī, Ururangi, Matariki, Tupu-ā-nuku and Tupu-ā-rangi.
