Today being the Tangata whenua of Uxbridge Marae, we were invited with Whaea Taini to participate in blessing the "Seed Exchange Programme" at the Howick Library for our local community. The children were able to plant their very own green bean seeds which were very delicate, as well as take part in the blessing. Whaea Taini spoke about our children being just like these precious seeds that we need to nurture and look after in order for them to grow and succeed. What a great opportunity to celebrating our connections with the community.
