As part of our ongoing interest in exploring construction we made some sculptures using loose parts. Children construct knowledge through interactions between their own ideas and experiences in the physical world. Through sculpture they are able to explore their ideas creatively in a three-dimensional format.
We are developing our spatial understandings and an awareness of two and three dimensional objects through fitting together, rearranging and reshaping objects and materials. (Exploration)
