After harvesting our beetroot (piti), it was time for some new crops to be planted. Santi and his family kindly donated some flowers for us to grow, which will add some beautiful colour to our garden. We also purchased some seedlings to plant aswell, some Zuchinni, brocolli, cauliflower and radishes, sounds just perfect for our Winter soup or possibly our gruffallo soup!!!
Our Uxbridge tamariki are quite the green fingers and love to help out in the garden....
It gave us an opportunity to look closely at the seeds, the different shapes, sizes and colours.... we also talked about what our seedlings and flowers needed to grow.
We then made signs for our garden, look at our wonderful pictures and writing..
