The magpie pecked, the cat pawed and clawed, the dog bit and chewed but no-one could open it!! (A little bit like our Koala Can!!) Then a young boy found it and shook the bottle... bubble bubble.... then he turned the cap without much trouble and the cap went whizzing through the air and the drink fizzed out everywhere!!
This has been a very popular story of late, one the children really enjoy. So today Liz brought in a 1 litre soft drink and we thought we would have a go at trying to get the cap off and test the theory ourselves.....
We read the story once more at mat-time.....
We each took a turn at trying to get the cap off...
Then we put on our aprons and went outside......
And we shook the bottle, bubble, bubble.....
AND.....
POP!!!!, it went fizzing everywhere!
Haha, not quite the fizz we were hoping for, but a fizz we did get!! Maybe because it was a brown fizzy and not orange? I think we might try it with Orange another day! Loved the excitement and anticipation again, just like the Koala in the Can. Great collaboration, sharing of idea's, working together, taking turns and patience, what a fun way to work, play and learn!
