The new swing

This week we are enjoying our new swing (when the rain stops and we get to go outside). This is  a fun swing as we can go on in pairs. We have to work together to push and pull to gain momentum...seeing the tamariki's smiley face as they get the swing to go higher and higher has been really neat!!!  

Jack and the beanstalk

We were all pleased when Taini from the Marae next door brought us over some beans from the community garden for helping to water the garden, we decided to share them at afternoon tea. 

Some of the children were really familiar with what these tasted like raw and what they looked like as we had such great success last summer in our own garden with beans. 

We enjoyed the story of Jack and the bean stalk as we shared the beans and laughed together about what kind of magic our beans might make.
