Getting Arty

The characters were out but the scene was not set. The tamariki took great delight doing experimental painting with the rolling pins, as they splattered the colours onto the paper with teaspoons, before rolling and smooshing it in. What beautiful art it created, but there was more to add. Characters from our stories needed to be added into our art which became their lands. To finish it off we stamped glittery green and silver circles over our lands for a touch of magic. 

The children got creative and told stories about their lands and pictures. What a way to inspire their creative minds.
