Holi is Hindu festival known as the "Festival of Colours” and we celebrate Holi in March. It marks the end of winter in India and welcomes the spring season. In addition to marking the arrival of spring, Holi also celebrates fertility, colour, love, and the triumph of good over evil. Holi is the most vibrant of all Hindu festivals and is celebrated with the utmost joy and enthusiasm!
Here at Uxbridge we wore bright colours to mark this event. We also explored colours by using water guns and spray bottles to colour mix on a white sheet! What wonderful patterns it made as the colours mixed! We enjoyed face painting, rainbow play dough creations, bubble blowing art, splat art, music and dancing to traditional Holi music.
