Acts of Kindness, watch me bloom!
A Kindness Tree is a creative and beautiful way to encourage acts of kindness. This week we have started to talk with the tamariki about what it means to be kind, how we can look after one another, ourselves and our lovely kindy. Each act of kindness is going to earn a special leaf, that will be placed on the tree. The more acts of kindness, the more our tree will grow!
The team got to work to create our wonderful tree. Nikki drew the outline and then we painted it brown.
We then gained the children's idea's on what they thought it meant to be kind
Our tree is starting to grow already, we have some wonderful children showing acts of kindness. Our first recipients have been, Sidney, Leyla, Cohen, Claudia and Chloe A. Well done friends xx
We can't wait to see over the coming weeks how big it will get.
