Time to get our garden ready for our Winter planting! We had to get busy pulling weeds, turning the soil over and taking our garden waste to the compost.

Then it was time for the planting....... We brought cabbage, peas, silverbeet, brocolli, silverbeet and cauliflower, perfect vegetables to grow in the winter time.
We had to be careful to space our vege's out so they have room to grow. We dug our holes, gently put them in and then tucked them into bed (A Nikki saying for covering them with soil).
Now we can water and watch them grow and hopefully they will be ready for harvesting in time for our Matariki feast!
