Today we had a visit from Police officers Nick and Jerry, Officer Nick is Blake’s Dad!!
We had a korero with them about how to keep ourselves and everyone safe in the community! They reminded us how to keep safe in the car and how we can remind our Mum’s and Dad’s about car seats, seat belts and not using their phone when driving!
They also told us about how the Police are there to keep everyone safe and to help people so if we ever need help the Police will be there for us – they help lots of children and Mum’s and Dad’s and also look after the elderly or people in trouble.
We learnt a lot about their uniform and even got to try on their hat and feel their hand cuffs and baton. A big thanks to Officer Nick and Officer Jerry for keeping our community safe!!
