Hands Alive Puppet Show - The kindness tree reward

We have had some wonderful and thoughtful acts of kindness over the past several weeks and now with our kindness tree in full bloom, we thought it would be a nice idea to celebrate our journey with a puppet show on friendship.  Christine from Hands Alive came in and put on a wonderful show with lots of different puppets. We met a brother and sister who went on a lion hunt and a lion who was only looking for a friend, a turtle who got stuck on his back and needed help and the kind elephant who helped him and a cat that wanted to find out what she was good at. There was also lots of singing, a Grandpa who was looking for his hat, a caterpillar who turned into a butterfly, a friendly dog and many more wonderful characters who all passed on the message that it is important to be kind, friendly and to help others. Our tamariki thoroughly enjoyed the show, getting involved on request and telling the puppets what they should do. Their answers really reflected the learning that we have been doing through the kindness tree experience which was wonderful to see.
