What will the kumara do?

 

We wondered what would happen if we put a kumara into the water. We had some wonderful predictions as to what will happen. We waited with anticipation to see if anyone’s predictions would be correct.

Our predictions:

“It will grow up to the sky “- Riya

‘It will change the colour of the water.” - Sebastian

“I think it will give more kumara” -Cohen

“It might die”- Chloe R.

“It will grow more leaves”-Lachlan

 “It will swim in the water”-Zoe

A month later, we observed a lot of white hair in one of our kumara. We wonder what they were called. Lachlan and Eliza recognized that they were roots. “They drink lots of water,” said Lachlan. Keelan and Zoe noticed that the other kumara had lots of leaves and sprouts. What a great experiment that allowed us to use predicting, observing and questioning skills.
