Our New World Little Garden!!

We have just bought our own little Garden seedling kit from New World to grow some fresh herbs and vegetables at Kindy.  We have been busy planting lots of new edibles in our garden and so this is another opportunity for us to share in the experience of growing our own plants, how plants grow and how we can add them to meals.  We are going to get creative in the kitchen!!

On the lid of our first pot, the instructions said, READ VERY CAREFULLY!!!!  It's very important to follow the instructions so we read through all the steps involved, there were not that many, so it wasn't too hard for us.

First we placed the soil on a saucer, then added 50ml's water - this part was truly amazing and we watched as the soil rose up just like a cake.  We then filled our pot 1/2 way with soil, added the seed mat, topped up with soil and then placed it in the tray.  The first one was "Thyme" so we looked for the letter T for "Thyme".
