A musical interlude

As our weather started off so beautifully sunny today, I moved the musical instrument trolleys outside onto our lower deck along with the speaker and Ipod.  This way we could play our music as loud as we wished - or Forte as they say in the music business.

We played a wide range of music, covering all the requests.  We were dancing to The Wiggles and other favourites, we were just finding our groove when we were unexpectedly interrupted by an Earthquake drill – so we had to drop-cover and hold- until it was over.  That didn’t keep us down for long as we began again making our own music.

Marlo casually mentioned to Ava that he "didn't know you had those moves".

As it began raining later in our day, we played Singing in the Rain which has the Tofa Tafa dance included in it, this was ridiculously popular - we seriously brought in the crowds.

The dancing ribbons were such a hit – if fact at one time it felt like we really were at the end of the Rainbow, we were having so much fun.

I played some songs that were sung in different languages (Spanish and Chinese).

One of our children requested a favourite song and it was not received too happily by some of the children in the playground.  In fact they had a fair bit to say about it, all I can say boys, is Let It Go…

I suggested that they could be in line to choose their favourite song next.   When their George Ezra favourite came on, the group rushed in and they started belting out the words.

Our music was varied today, we had action songs and some A Cappella (singing without any instruments), we had nursery rhymes and old favourites as well as new favourites.  We all contributed our ideas and joined in with our friends.
