The Cakery

Following on from a very special cake decorating book in our library, there has been a lot of interest in decorating cakes!

First, we collected some seed for sprinkles that our Gingko tree is dropping. What a perfect topping for our cakes.

We needed to make some icing out of shaving foam and food colour! Mix, mix, mix!
Macy had an interesting idea of dying her sprinkles ( Gingko seeds) red, she smooshed them between her fingers and stirred them all up to ensure a great coverage.
The bakery grew in staff over the morning and it was a great production line, lots of teamwork, sharing, and all hands on deck.

Oliver enjoyed collecting sand and sprinkling it through his fingers. He also used the stick to scoop up the shaving foam icing for his creation.

Look at Xavier's birthday cake! Just in time for his birthday tomorrow, although he did mention that he needed to add more candles to make 4!! I just love your creative creations, great mahi tamariki.
