Puppet Play Piggies

 

Puppet play has been a huge hit here of late. Today, the Three Little Pigs was requested again. We have revisited this story many times before so the children are very familiar with it. We decided to mix it up a bit and we all named our pigs! We had some very creative names; "Little Pig,Baby Pig, Mummy Pig, Sid the Pig, Luna the Wolf . Infact, in one version of the story, the wolf was actually visiting the  houses for a surprise birthday party!

Because there was such an interest all day, we decided to perform a version of this at mat time. Our tamariki are getting very confident at speaking in front of the class, what courage they show coming up and giving it a go! 

Here are some of our mat time stars! Thank you for such a wonderful performance team!A big thank you to our audience too who were practising being at a real show! They even needed to help Pixie the Wolf blow out Zac's Straw house because it was constructed so carefully, it just wouldn't blow down! Lucky we all worked together!!! What a laugh we had.
