Blindfolded obstacle course

We love an obstacle course!  Over time, the tamariki have become really good at climbing, balance and moving their bodies around the different components.  What do you do when something gets too easy?  You make it harder and enjoy challenging yourself.  To throw a spanner in the works, we added a blind fold!  Not being able to see where to put your hands or feet was a real challenge.  Our senses of touch and hearing when into overdrive.  We needed to put a lot of trust into our bodies, and move more slowly to ensure we were safely on the equipment.  This really engaged our balance and co-ordination (so important for school readiness).
