Sea Week 2023

"Ko au te moana, ko te moana ko au
I am the sea and the sea is me"

This week we participated in Sea Week through lots of discussions about how we connect and care for our oceans.  Who likes to go to the beach and what they like to find there.
Many of our tamariki talked about finding rubbish on the beach when they go with their families. That they like to pick up the rubbish because they know it doesn't belong in the ocean.

We learnt some te reo names for ocean animals and drew our own creations of creatures that lived in the sea! Come and check out our displays!

Some Sea creatures came to Uxbridge...

Lots of interesting books for us to look at all about the ocean
