Matariki celebrations begin with Little Kiwi

 Wow what a fun week we have had so far celebrating Matariki!

One of our favourite Matariki Stories Little Kiwi's Matariki sparked off Matariki at Uxbridge this year with Taylor showing us that she can too, draw kiwi just like in the book! Check it out!

We needed two circles (porowhita) to make up our kiwi body and a long triangle(tapatoru). We got to work making a wall display!

Once we had our kiwi up on our kindy wall, our friends decided to make their very own for their own homes.

Look at how clever and creative our tamariki are, using what they knew about what shapes made up a kiwi off to work they set!
