This morning we were visited by Howick swimgym. Vanessa came along to talk to our tamariki about water safety and brought along Bobbin their starfish.
Vanessa asked the children lots of questions to determine their understanding of water safety. Our children were of course, very forthcoming with information and Vanessa could tell a great deal of them take swimming lessons. She reminded them all about the importance of blowing bubbles, always having an adult with you by any water and not running around pools.
To drive her water safety points home, she followed up with a story about water safety.
To finish off we all enjoyed dancing to 'Baby shark' before giving Bobbin a high five and/or cuddle and receiving a sticker.
