A Pirate kind of day

A couple of children started to play pirate's this morning with treasure maps and pirate treasure. "We need a pirate hat and eye patch" they suggested so we set about finding hats and making eye patches. Some of us decided to have a pirate scar or mustache painted on to add to the fun.
We even learnt a new pirate song at Mat time and shared some pirate stories. We finished off with a pirate memory game where the little pirate's had to close their eyes and guess what pirate picture was missing! The teachers were amazed at how wonderful everyone's memory was as they guessed the missing picture with ease. What a fun way to end the week!!
