Goodbye Beak

Unfortunately our brown axolotl Beak passed away over the weekend. This was very sad for all of us at Uxbridge so this afternoon we held a ceremony to bid him farewell. Beak was placed in a box for burial which was in turn placed under our lemon tree. Deanne said a karakia asking our guardians to watch over him for us. The children then each took a turn at dropping a flower on to the box and to say goodbye to our friend before he was buried. Rest in peace Beak we will miss you.
