The enormous neck of Elasmosaurus

When Harland arrived today he told me about how he had been discussing Dinosaurs at home with his family. We had some Dinosaurs outside and he found a dinosaur that lives in the sea. Wondering what this dinosaur was called and keen on some more information about dinosaurs that lived in the sea we got down some Dinosaur encyclopedia's and books.
We found the same dinosaur as the toy....it was called an Elasmosaurus.
The book told us that the neck of the Elasmosarus grew up to 7 meters long!!! That's amazing.
We decided to measure out this distance using out meter long ruler.
It certainly was a very long neck!!
We agreed that we were glad that this dinosaur was extinct from our waters today!!

Harland compares the picture to the toy we were investigating

He set off with his friend Dror to measure the length of the neck

Still going....

I took the photo where the neck stopped and Harland stood at the start of the neck.
Great measuring Harland.
